18 Famous UFO Sightings Since 1945

Ever since the U.S. Military detonated the world’s first atomic bomb, Trinity, at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico on July 16, 1945, the number of documented reported UFOs, or UAP sightings has increased dramatically.

Could this effect life in other dimensions, or parallel universes? Just a thought…

“They wanted to know about our military capabilities. My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to war and help create peace on Earth.” —Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 Astronaut

*Fast forward to today’s latest UFO analysis and we find former views of State and Science finally coming around to actually Acknowledge, address, and discuss the phenomenon. After decades of denial…

My question is this: Besides the “avalanche of data”, Why now the orchestrated flurry of interest? Narrative control? Just a thought.

#5. Betty and Barney Hill Alien Abduction Case (1961)

#5. 10:30 p.m. Sept. 19, 1961: Betty and Barney Hill stopped their car near Twin Mountain, New Hampshire after Mrs. Hill saw a “shooting star” traveling upward towards the moon. They both viewed the object through binoculars and after observing it to not be an airplane they drove away watching it hover over the area until it descended directly over their vehicle. The large craft hovered 80 to 100 feet over their car, its windows viewable to Mr. Hill when he got out of the car. His statement, that he looked through the binoculars and saw eleven humanoids watching him, one of the figures then sending him a telepathic message, was recorded by National Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) investigator, Walter Webb. The non-human message Mr. Hill received was, “stay where you are and keep looking”. Upon this, he ran back to the car telling his wife, “They’re going to capture us!”. They sped away but the UFO followed them closely sending an impulse through the car and through their bodies. They both reported feeling a state of altered consciousness and then heard beeping and buzzing sounds that brought them back to full consciousness where they realized they had driven 35 miles away. Over the years after the incident, the Hill’s came forward with their story going public via interviews and sessions of hypnosis. The regression hypnosis revealed that both Betty and Barney had been examined physically aboard a craft and had interacted with several humanoid aliens during their “missing time”.

#8. Billy Meier Contact Controversy with Pleadian Visitors (1975)

#8. Billy Meier, Extraterrestrial Contact and Prophet, or Hoaxer? – Claiming to be visited from the age of 5, it wasn’t until January 28th, 1975, when Billy met the Plejaren woman, Semjase, that he was allowed to take photographs of the Pleadian craft and visitors. Throughout the late 1970s, Billy Meier was visited, communicated with and traveled on “beamships” as documented by his hundreds of photos and dozen or so 35mm films,—or did he? Since his first claims, and later prophecies, people have poured over Meier’s “evidence” determining both belief and disbelief.

Despite the debunking, the Billy Meier story proves one thing: the UFO, extraterrestrial, phenomenon deserves serious and critical debate—not laughter and “weather balloons” or “swamp gas” denial from our leaders. What do they want to hide from us?

#9. Travis Walton Alien Abduction Case (1975)

#9. November 5, 1975, near Snowflake, Arizona. American forestry worker Travis Walton was allegedly abducted and beamed aboard an alien craft while working in the Apache–Sitgreaves National Forests. As the subject of one of the most documented cases of alien abduction, Travis Walton wrote about the incident in his books, The Walton Experience and Fire in the Sky, the latter of which became a biopic sci-fi mystery film in 1993. Witnessed by six forestry workers, Walton was abducted after he approached the craft the crewmen saw hovering in the woods. According to Walton, he was taken aboard the UFO and awoke in a hospital-like room to three aliens with over-sized craniums and bulging eyes who were interested in inspecting him. The UFO left him five days later on a highway. During his absence, his co-workers were suspected of murdering Walton with media outlets going into overdrive on the case. All of the crew took and passed a polygraph lie-detector test with only one resulting as “inconclusive”. Thought by skeptics to be a hoax, some claimed Walton’s experience, and the reports of six eye-witnesses, as “self-deception” and a desire for “celebrity”. Walton has appeared on numerous media telling his story including Larry King Live!, the Art Bell show, and The Joe Rogan Experience.

After Communion reached the Bestsellers List he released the follow-up book, Transformation. This book was put on the fiction list much to the chagrin of Strieber. His abduction was told by Hollywood in the film Communion starring Christopher Walken. Strieber’s dozens of ufo-related books and his ongoing presence in ufology media and conferences have brought serious attention to the global phenomenon of alien abduction, and to the fields of modern psychotherapy and hypnosis.

#13. Phoenix Lights UFOs – March 13th, 1997: Thousands of people in Arizona, Nevada, and the Mexican state of Sonora witnessed strange craft hovering over towns and cities. People claimed seeing a triangular formation of lights, shaped like a carpenter’s square, and others reported numerous stationary lights wafting over homes and rural areas. The U.S. Air Force said the stationary lights were flares dropped during training exercises. Later, in 2008 when similar lights appeared, the Air Force stated people saw falling flares attached to helium balloons. The mayor of Phoenix, Fife Symington III, went on local television news and laughed off the events by wearing a huge alien head costume before addressing the lights on air.

Years later he said of his experience witnessing the lights over Phoenix that the object he saw was “otherworldly”. During an interview with the Prescott, Arizona Daily Courier he said, ‘I’m a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I’ve ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people. I don’t know why people would ridicule it.’

    #15. Saucer Over Chicago’s O’Hare Airport (2006)

#15. On November 7, 2006, at approximately 4:15 pm, Chicago’s O’Hare Airport reported over a dozen witnesses of a saucer-shaped, metallic craft hovering for several minutes over Gate C-17. Interestingly, the FAA never responded to the sighting with a formal UFO investigation because the craft was not picked on radar. This led the FAA to declare the incident as “weather phenomenon”. Despite the possibility of a security breach over an American airport, United Airlines and the FAA both failed to investigate the matter until legal pressure from the Chicago Tribune newspaper revealed transcripts of a phone call from the airport tower supervisor to an FAA manager. Subsequently. The National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP) published a 155-page report stating “Anytime an airborne object can hover for several minutes over a busy airport but not be registered on radar or seen visually from the control tower, constitutes a potential threat to flight safety.” The sighting was picked up by major cable news outlets, aired on the History Channel’s UFO Hunters show and featured in the 2018 film “UFO”.

One of the objects, a self-illuminated sphere at least six feet in diameter, flew alongside the Omaha for an extended period and was observed through a thermal sensor in the ship’s Combat Information Center (CIC).
